Five New Fragrances For January 2018.

This is a list of some of the new fragrances for the month of January 2018. By no means is this all the new fragrances launching this month but just some of the ones I thought you might enjoy trying.


My Burberry Black Elixir - This is a sweet fragrance rich in accords. This fragrance was composed by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian and is part of The Burberry Black collection of perfumes. My Burberry Black Elixir is a deep rich eloquent fragrance with top notes of Lemon Zest and Jasmine. The heart is sweet and flowery with notes of Rose and Candied Almonds while Sandalwood provides a warm and inviting base. The bottle is in the classic Burberry style with a smoked glass finish and dark color toning and a nice black bow-tie ribbon.

Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme Perfum - This perfume was created by the creative director of Gucci fashion house Alessandro Michele and perfumer Alberto Morillas. It combines Goldenwood and Blackberry thus creating a non-traditional fruity Chypre fragrance that is further intensified with Patchouli oils and Bulgarian Rose. Other notes include Bergamot,Pink Pepper,Cypress,Woody notes,Amber and Indian Parchouli.
Bvlgari Splendida Magnolia Sensuel Perfume - This new fragrance from Bvlgari is centered around the Magnolia Flower and was created by perfumer Jacques Cavallier. Splendida Magnolia Sensuel is part of the Bvlgari Splendida collection of fragrances which include Rose Rose,Iris D'Or and Jasmine Noir. The fragrance is captured in a warm wine red bottle with a golden stopper. The top notes provide a citrus rush with Orange Blossom and Tangerine. The heart comes alive with floral notes of Magnolia,Jasmine and another dose of Orange Blossom. The base is inviting and fragrant with notes of Tahitian Vanilla,Patchouli and Musk.
5th Avenue NYC Lights Perfume by Elizabeth Arden - From the design house of Elizabeth Arden comes this Chypre floral fragrance that is both stylish and sophisticated. It has top notes of Cranberry,Tangerine and Lime and a heart of Orris,Osmanthus and Amber. The dry-down consists of Patchouli,Sandalwood and Tonka-Bean. The fragrance comes in a slim tall bottle that is fitted in a gorgeous matrix of colored light as seen from the horizon of the "city that never sleeps."
O Boticario Capricho BeMyself Perfume - This a stylish fragrance that was created with the younger confident woman in mind and is part of the Florentine Musk olfactory family. This wonderful perfume begins with citrus notes of Mandarin and Bergamot these flow into a heart of Jasmine,Cyclamen,Lilac,Creamy Rose and Violet. The base is a breathtaking combination of Musk,Coconut,Cedar,Sandalwood and Vanilla.

Popular Women's Perfume Of The 1980's.

In this installment of my popular perfumes by the decade series we'll be taking a look at five perfumes from the 80's that were as popular as Madonna and bigger than a John Hughes movie. The 1980's saw a transistion not only in fashion but also in music from the departing decade of the 70's. Disco was giving way to the new sounds of bands like Duran Duran,Culture Club and Wham to name just a few. Bell bottoms were on their last leg and wide lapel shirts and leisure suits were slowly being swept into the dust bin of fashion. Styles were spinning towards a whole new look from designers such as Halston,Viivenne Westwood,Lacoste and Ralph Lauren. The 1980's also marked some landmark events such as the first personal computer which was introduced by IBM on August 12th,1981. Popular Women's Perfume Of The 1960's.

The 1960's proved to be a decade that marked some defining moments in history. Some of those moments included the November 22nd,1963 assasination of President John F Kennedy as his motorcade made its way through the streets of downtown Dallas,Texas. The signing of the The Civil Rights Act on July 2nd,1964 by President Johnson. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon on July 20th,1969. In that same year the massive outdoor music/art festival Woodstock took place on Max Yasgur's 600 acre dairy farm near Bethel,New York between August 15th and August 18th. The 60's also marked the beginning of the hippie movement or the "counter-culture" which was marked by the "Riots On Sunset" in Hollywood on November 12th,1966. These riots were in protest,mainly by younger people who were demonstrating against a 10:00 pm curfew that was in place to help ease congestion in and around the Sunset Strip during the nighttime hours.
